Yes, we can but for personal watching you would not see a discernable difference from video tapes or cine film in 1080p HD.

What is the difference 1080i or 1080P

Accepted Answer

1080i (Interlaced) has Lower frame rate, blur and is lower quality.

1080P (Progressive) has Smooth, clear, and sharper detail. It is also broadcast quality.

We mainly work in 1080P.

How much does it cost to convert a single video tape?

As of April 2025, £18.00 per tape and £10-£15 for the USB, or £5.00 to upload to Google Drive.

Like other shops, we have been doing Media transfers since 2004.

We spend the time to get a great quality do all our work in-house in full 1080p HD.

We also make sure that you do not get old TV footage included with your home films, whilst our competitors do not.

We will scan all your tapes and if there is no home footage, you will only be charged £3.

Other shops will do their full scan in low quality and charge you full price, which can be £40 plus. whereas we only charge £18.

Our overheads are lower than a shop, which allows us to pass these savings to our customers. Our upscaling system is self built and offers the same quality as major broadcast centres in London.

Hi I have an old video that I have transferred from VHS to DVD the quality has diminished because of the age of the original VHS. I would like to restore the digital copy are you able to help with this and what would be the cost. 1 hour video.?

The best way is for our team to recapture the original VHS using our HD up-scaling system, this will improve the quality beyond what can be restored from the DVD and cost £18.

How do you capture cine film Standard 8 and Super 8mm ?

We use a Digital scanner that works at 1080p and then after, if needed, we use our AI software to stabilise and fix any issues.

How do you capture 16mm cine film?

We use a HD Flashscan System, which can also transfer any audio that is on the cine film.

What happens if I give you a Video Tape that is broken or damaged or has mould as other places will not transfer them?

Accepted Answer

We repair and clean all tapes as we have the facilities to do this.

There is an extra charge; normally £10 to £20 dependent on the time taken.

If the tape has mould and is sticking we can bake the tapes which costs £15 extra.

How long is your transfer turnaround?

3-5 days for up to 12 tapes, or 7-10 days for more than 15 tapes.

We can also provide a 24 hour service for £25 for a maximum of 3 tapes.
